To all children the hydrogen respiratory test (VDT) with application of gas analyzer Лактофан-2 of manufacture of Open Company "АМА" (Russia, St.-Petersburg) was carried out.

Research was spent 1 hour prior to feeding: in the beginning at the child hydrogen level was measured in exhaled air on an empty stomach (basal), then it received a load, further measurements were spent in 30 and 60 minutes from the moment of load acceptance. As a load lactose from calculation of 2 g/kg, but was used no more
20 Lactose got divorced in slightly warmed up (for the best dissolution) the warm distilled water from calculation of 10 ml/kg, but no more 100 ml.

We develop a technique probootbora exhaled air at small children. For air selection children's anesthesiology mask REF 586 (Maersk/Unomedical, the USA) was used. The mask was densely put to the person of the child. Thus the mask outlet opening has not been closed, thanks to what the mask did not stir to breath of the child. After fulfilment of 2-3 exhalations the syringe was inserted into a mask outlet opening of 20 ml and in it air from internal volume of a mask was selected. Then air from a syringe was entered into a gas analyzer. Procedure of selection did not complicate breath of the child and some seconds proceeded all. Originally to all children measurement of level of hydrogen was spent in 30, 60 and 90 minutes after load reception. At everyone surveyed testing was spent to 3 stages: before lactose reception (basal level), through 30 and in 60 minutes after reception (loading level).

At the analysis of results of the test it is established, that the maximum gain of level of hydrogen at surveyed children became perceptible in 60 minutes after load reception that was the basis for reduction of the period of research till 60 minutes at repeated research. At observation over children with FR during research occurrence of symptoms LN (an abdominal distention, anxiety, chair increase) is established at rising of level of hydrogen in 60 minutes on 10 ppm (particles on one million, particles per million) and above, that further by us was regarded as a sign of presence LN.

Estimation of results: if value in 60 minutes exceeded basal level on 10 ppm and more, the result was regarded as positive and was diagnosed laktaznaja insufficiency. In other cases the result was regarded as negative.
