a pain estimation

Pain estimation spent according to the Poppy-Gillovsky to a painful questionnaire (McGill Pain Questionnaire) which allows to estimate not only intensity of a pain, but also its sensory and emotional component.

In our country there are some versions of a questionnaire in Russian, we used a variant developed by employees of the Russian state medical university, the Moscow State University of M.V.Lomonosova and tsito of N.N.Priorova (Kuzmenko V.V., etc., 1986г.). The given questionnaire includes 20 subclasses forming three basic classes (scale): sensory, affective and evaljuativnuju (estimated). Each subclass is formed by the words similar on semantic value, but differing on intensity of characterised painful sensation. At filling of a questionnaire the patient is offered to note the words most corresponding to its sensations in any of 20 subclasses (it is not obligatory in everyone, but no more than one word in a subclass) (the Appendix 1).

The serial number of the word noted by the patient, corresponds to a numerical indicator in a subclass. As a result of calculation defined following indicators:

• ICHVD - an index of number chosen deskriptov (the sum of noted words).

• RIB - rangovyj a pain index (the sum of serial numbers chosen deskriptov in subclasses).

The above-stated indexes were counted up separately for sensory and affective scales, and also together for definition of a total index.

Patients filled a questionnaire at the primary reference, and then in three months, during dynamic observation.
