survey of mathematical models of an eyeball

Survey of models of an eye has shown, that eyeball models reflect only separate geometrical features of an eyeball and are intended, as a rule, for research of mechanical features of represented structures.

Within the limits of a solved problem at modelling it is important to consider not only an eyeball, but also surrounding cloths. Some models mentioned in references comprise, for example, glazodvigatelnye muscles [60], but surrounding cloths, as a rule, in such models are not considered, and at calculations the eyeball is considered the isolated installation.

The important feature of the found models of an eye is that in overwhelming majority they do not consider blood circulation system, and in some cases [8] vascular layers are simply expelled from model. Pulsovye oscillations in such models too are not observed.

On the other hand, in a number of works [6, 55] the models presenting both separate vessels, and their network are shown, but in relation to an eye they are difficultly applicable.

In the capacity of medium of modelling has been chosen krossplatformennyj package COMSOL Multiphysics, allowing to spend modelling of physical processes by a method of final elements. Survey of models of an eyeball, earlier
Developed for the above-stated medium of modelling, has revealed two models: one of them was applied to the analysis of temperature patterns at various pathologies [99] (Drawing 2.1 see,), second - for research of processes of sorbtion of various medicinal substances in a cloth of an eye [93] (Drawing 2.1 see,).

Drawing 2.1 - Models from database COMSOL Multiphysics:

1 - a cornea; 2 - a crystalline lens; 3 - sklera

It is necessary to note, that the resulted models possess the same deficiencies, as mechanical models: the eyeball is observed as the isolated installation. Moreover, in one model the vascular layer is essentially simplified, in another - is absent. All structures of an eye in models are simplified.

In this connection in-process there was a problem of working out of model of an eye, suitable for modelling of system of blood circulation of an eyeball taking into account its vascular structures and surrounding cloths.
